The Kansas Reflector

I have been freelancing for the Kansas Reflector, a nonprofit newsroom based out of Topeka, Kan., since January 2021. Since I had interned as a reporter in the Kansas Statehouse, I was able to quickly fill coverage gaps for the Reflector. I was able to put my business reporting experience to use for stories about angel investor tax credits and alternative investment trusts. I also covered high profile stories like a bill that targeted transgender student athletes and a state budget that passed without education funding.
